The ladies won their first game against the London Angles 2 to 1. The game was dominated by the outstanding pitching of Karen Heimgartner. She also batted in the first run and scored the game-winning run.
The second game against Maroussi from Greece was decided in the extra innings. The ladies erased a three-run deficit during the regular game time. In the ninth inning, Simone Zurschmitten batted in the deciding run which resulted to the final standing of 4 to 3.
