The Softball-Team opened its season with a come from behind win in rainy conditions over the Wil Devils on Sunday, May 3. The game was interrupted for 20 minutes in the middle of the second inning and eventually called after four frames due to persistent rain and an unplayable field. The Challengers were down by three runs after two frames but rallied for six unanswered runs to walk away with a 9-6 victory.
Karen Heimgartner led the offense with two hits, while Anouk Lkharrazi drove in two runs and rookie Livia Waller scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the third inning to make it 7-6.
Game 2 had to be canceled. A make-up date has not been announced yet.
