Flyers take series opener 13-1

The Therwil Flyers opened their best-of three semi-final series against the Challengers with an easy 13-1 win in four innings, as Adeline Glauser no-hit the C's.

The Flyers opened the score in the bottom of the first frame with a two-run double from Melanie Wanner and a two-run single from Fabienne Kuhn, before Glauser made it 5-0 on a wild pitch.

And the Flyers never looked back, as they added two more runs in the second inning and made it 13-0 in the third frame, as Jessica Kijak belted a three-run homer off reliever Anouk Lkharrazi.

The Challengers scored their only run in the fourth inning, as Meret Roth reached base on four balls, stole second, advanced to third on an error by the Flyers defense and crossed the plate in a double steal attempt, with the Flyers making the out on second base.

It was the 17th postseason game between the two arch rivals. The Flyers are leading with 11-6 wins.
