Challengers cruise, benefit to win

The Challengers recorded their fifth win in the season behind a strong Oliver Christen.

Christen tossed 5.2 innings, gave up two runs on only two hits and fanned 11 of the free-swinging Thun hitters.

The Hunters wouldn't score until the sixth inning, when Christen began to tire.

Reliever Yanik Probst closed the game, giving up 3 more runs, two of them unearned.

The Challengers offense that scored in every inning but the first was led by Adrian Kämpfer">Adrian Kämpfer with 3 hits and two RBIs, while Daiki Sato belted his first NLB-double to the left center gap to lead off the fourth inning.

But only three of the Challengers' 12 runs were earned, as they also profited of a weak Hunters defense that commited a total of 12 errors.
