2Challengers lose 19-2 in Game 2
After a 4 1/2 marathon in Game 1, the Zurich Challengers and Zurich Lions fought a more balanced battle in Game 2 - at least for six innings.The Lions led 6-2 after six innings before breaking loose against pitchers Simon Saxer, Dean Scherbaum and Roger Burger for 13 runs.
The Challengers pitching fell apart in that final, giving up 13 runs on five hits and 10 free passes.
On the other hand, the Lions' Markus Streicher delivered a fine performance, giving up only two runs on two RBI-singles by Burger and Nick Lehmann. He gave up only two more hits the entire game plus four walks, while also striking out six.
Manuel Schretzmann was the only Challenger with at least two hits, going 2-for-3 with a stolen base in the leadoff spot.
