31Challengers advance to Finals with 31-4 trashing of Bandits
The Challengers completely dominated the helpless Jona Bandits in the second game of the Best-Of-3 Semifinals Series for the promotion to the NLB, winning 31-4 in a loopsided contest.Starter Thomas Burger went the distance, striking out 14 batters en route to his first win this season.
Daniel Maier was the only Bandit that had Burger's numbers, going a perfect 3-for-3.
On the Challengers' side, Nick Lehmann further pushed his team-leading batting average to a hefty .683 with five hits in seven at-bats.
Veterans Yves Huber and Roger Brunner each added four hits in a 30-hit attack, eliminating the winners of the 1.Liga Ost division in convincing fashion.
Next up are the Zurich Barracudas in the Finals Series, beginning next weekend.
