Barracudas hand Challengers worst defeat in club history

In Game 1 of the NLB-team's final doubleheader of the season, the team suffered its worst defeat ever, losing 37-0 to the NLA Zurich Barracudas in the Promotion Round.

	Willy Schaub conceded 29 runs in just 2 2-3 innings.

Scoring 9, 5, 17, 1 and 5 runs in the first five innnings while shuting out the opposition, the Barracudas handed the Challengers a nightmare of a defeat.

Starter Willy Schaub had to pitch for 2 2-3 innings before being relieved from that nightmare.

He ended up giving up 29 runs - 18(!) of them unearned - on 21 hits and seven walks while also striking out three.

13 errors by the Challengers - every starter had at least one error - contributed to a ridiculous onslaught by the green fishes.

On the other hand, the Barracudas didn't commit a single error, and Ueli Von Burg pitched a two-hit shutout, walking just two and also striking out eight.

The Challengers were outhit 27-2 and outstolen 21-0.

Not one Challenger even reached second base.
