4Challengers lose seventh in a row
When one thought that it couldn't get any worse than in Game 1's 30-7 defeat, the Challengers proved everybody wrong by losing 28-4 in Saturday's second contest against the Olten Moose Junction.Starter Oliver Marty didn't manage to record a single out against five batters, and reliever Thomas Blank took most of the barrage by giving up 19 runs - seven of them earned - in 2 1-3 innings.
Manuel Schretzmann relieved him and went on to pitch the final 2 2-3 innings in a hopeless effort by a disastrous Challenger team.
The team combined for five hits off starter Sudan, who allowed only two earned runs in five innings.
It was the team's seventh loss in a row, the longest such streak since losing six in a row at the end of the 1999 season.
