5Challengers edge Lions 9-5
The Challengers' NLB-team beat the Zurich Lions 9-5 on Sunday and are on track for a playoff spot.

The game was marked by fine defensive plays, and both teams combined for just six errors, four by the Lions and just two by the Challengers.
The game featured only three extra-base hits, including Thomas Blank's first double of the season, and two more doubles by Lions shortstop Pletscher.
Challengers starter Patrick Zöllig faced off against former Challenger player and pitching coach Enrico Zingg, outlasting him for six innings and finishing the game with 7 2-3 innings pitched, in which he gave up three runs on nine hits and six walks, while striking out six. He was credited with his third win of the season.
Harry Bregy pitched the final 1 1-3 innings, giving up the final two runs in the ninth inning.
The Lions' lineup featured three former Challenger players. They were starter Zingg, catcher Giorgio Szentgyörgyi and reliever Wayne Testino.
