By that time, both teams played a solid game and the score was just 3-1 in the Challengers' favor. But Zöllig started to wear out, and Bregy gave up two RBI-singles that tied the game at 3-3 after 5 1/2 innings.
Starting for the Truck Star was again Baumann, and he managed to keep the Challenger offense in check. He gave up just five hits and struck out 10, but his defense made costly errors that led to two unearned runs.
The two teams entered the bottom half of the seventh inning with the game still tied. Bregy led off with his game-high third hit of the game, a double to left center, and Willy Schaub's ground out sent him racing to third base.
Christian Bülte followed with a sac fly to right field that enabled Bregy to barely score the winning run for the Challengers.
Bregy picked up his second win of the season by pitching the last two innings in which he gave up just one run on three hits and one base-on-balls, while striking out four.
