The Subs quickly scored seven runs in the first two innings off Oliver Labhart (1-3), who threw a complete game and gave up 16 runs - three of them unearned - on 20 hits, only one walk and striking out four.
The Challengers' bullpen wasn't available as most of the pitchers helped out the NLA-team in its Playoff Finals.
The only Challengers' run came in the third on Tobias Siegrist's RBI-single that scored Stefan Eisenring from second base.
The Subs used every inning to score at least one run and dominated the game from the beginning on.
The Challengers collected three of their six hits off starter Schiavo in that third inning as Harry Bregy, Siegrist and Willy Schaub hit singles.
Manuel Schretzmann appeared in his first game as a Challengers.
