Rainbows 19, Challengers 13

Nicki Lehmann allowed 11 earned runs in 6.2 innings in his pitching debut with the NLB-team.

The front-running Embrach Rainbows downed the Challengers 19-13 in a game that was decided in the sixth inning as the host Rainbows sent 14 batters to the plate and scored nine times off reliever Nicki Lehmann (0-1).

The Challengers, trailing 7-1 after five innings managed to tie up the game in the top of the sixth as three unearned and three earned runs crossed the plate against ace Roger Savoldelli.

After the Rainbows pulled away in their half of the sixth, the Challengers managed to score four more times in the next inning, but that wasn't enough as every Rainbow starter scored at least one run for the final score of 19-13.

Two rookies, Thomas Blank and Patrick Zöllig, had the two only extra-base hits for the Challengers, as both of them hit their first double of the season.
