1Challengers sweep Indians with 15-1 win
Sandy Patrone and his Challengers dominated the Lausanne Indians again in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader, winning 15-1.Patrone threw five shutout innings for his first win of the season after getting roughed up in his last outing against the Lucerne Eagles in which he allowed seven runs in 6 1-3 innings.
Rookie Tatsuhiko Watanabe added another six RBIs after getting seven in Game 1 with his third homer of the day, and adding another three singles to up his team-leading batting average to .594.
Leonel de Jesus Sosa Marte also added a homer, and Patrick Maier collected a career-high three hits.
Game notes
Robert Sedin's single in the fourth inning was his 400th total base in the NLA. ...Maier appeared on the mound for the Challengers for the first time since May 25, 2013.
