0Girasole dominates Devils in 12-0 shutout
Andrea Girasole tossed his first complete game of the season in the Challengers' 12-0 win over the Wil Devils in Game 1 of Sunday's afternoon doubleheader.Girasole retired the first ten batters he faced, and finished the game by conceding only three singles, two hit-by-pitches and no walks, while also striking out five for his third win of the season.
Robert Sedin led the offense with 6 RBI, Eidrys Reyes went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI, and Harry Bregy scored a game-high three runs.
Not a single Devil reached second base, as catcher Sedin threw out both runners that tried to steal second. That enabled Girasole to face only three batters above the minimum of 21 batters in a 7-inning complete game.
The Challengers' defense also remained flawless, committing zero errors for the fourth time this season.
On the other hand, the Devils had six miscues, leading to five of the 12 runs being unearned.
