3Challengers tame Lions 9-3
The Challengers didn’t manage to put away the Zurich Lions by the 10-run mercy rule in Wednesday's Night Game at the Heerenschürli, missing it by one run in the seventh inning, but nevertheless went on to win 9-3.Siegrist went five innings for his third win of the season.
Harry Bregy pitched the final four innings for his first save of the season, and his first since July 20, 2008.
Francisco Colindres led all batters by going 2-for-4 at the plate and scoring three times, while also collecting an RBI, his seventh of the season.
Saentis Zeller, Robert Sedin and Jesus Martinez also contributed with two hits apiece in a 13-hit effort against .
The Challengers used a total of 16 players with every starter except Sedin being substituted out during the course of the game.

Bregy became the third Challenger this season to pick up a save, making it the third season in a row that the Challengers had three pitchers with at least one save in the same season. …The record of most Challenger players used in an NLA game is 18, set on May 17, 1998, in what was Siegrist’s debut in the NLA.
