Contrary to the inaugural game at the new Heerenschürli, Game 2 was all Challengers as they routed the Zürich Barracudas 11-0 behind James Sanders' stellar pitching.

Sanders scattered six hits in a seven-inning shutout while walking two and also striking out seven.

His counterpart, Barracudas' Derek Bondo, lasted only 3 2-3 innings as he left with an 8-0 deficit in the fourth inning.

The Challengers got 11 hits off him, scoring nine times in the first four frames.

The Barracudas had runners in scoring position with less than two outs in three different innings, but failed to score each time. In the fourth inning, they even wasted a lead-off triple by Andy Rüesch.

On the other hand, every time the Challengers put the lead-off batter on, they scored him, happening in four of the seven innings.

A final highlight was Farid Bekkali's first career triple with the Challengers leading off the seventh inning.
