Challengers, Siegrist dominate Indians in 11-1 win

Tobias Siegrist delivered a gem in Game 1 as he went the distance to pick up his second win of the season in an 11-1 win against the Lausanne Indians.

He also collected a game-high three RBI's with a double, a triple and two sac flies.

Player coach Brian Hipps went 2-for-3 to push his team-leading batting average to .455, and Thomas Landis had a milestone plate appearance in the sixth inning as he collected his 200th walk in the NLA, and went on to steal his 200th base.

Unlike the last encounter with the Indians and starting pitcher Damien Baumann, the Challengers scored early and constantly to put the game away after seven innings.

Five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning put the nail on the coffin, while Siegrist kept the Indians in check.

The Indians scored their lone run in the first inning after Jay Casimiro reached on a fielding error by rookie shortstop Yanik Probst with two outs, and went on to score on a passed ball by Chris Palatinus.
