After getting the lead in the top of the fifth inning, starter Tobias Siegrist gave up three runs in the bottom of the inning on an RBI-double by Jay Casimiro and a two-run homer by Rafael Jimenez.

It was one of five homers by a heavy-hitting Indians' lineup which featured 12 hits, half of them for extra-bases.

On the other hand, the Challengers managed only a single extra-base hit, coming off the bat of player-coach James Sanders in the very first inning.

After that, the Challengers added 10 singles, and tried to profit from a shaky defense. But they ended up stranding 10 runners, six of them in scoring position.

Tobias Siegrist was once again the player of the game as he worked 6 1-3 innings in which he allowed eight runs on 10 hits and two walks, and also striking out three.

He ended with his first loss of the season, and raising his season ERA to 5.19.

He also went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring two of his team's three runs.

The only offensive category in which the Challengers beat the Indians were in stolen bases by swiping six of them.

Game notes
Siegrist tied Harry Bregy for third place on the all-time list for walks with 152 when he got a free pass in the fifth inning.
