3Burger rejoins rotation as Cs overpower Eagles 11-3
Thomas Burger spent six months in the United States to improve his baseball skills.Thomas Burger fanned 11 in his first NLA-complete-game.
Burger dominated the Eagles and tossed a complete game, the first of his career in the NLA. He allowed only 5 hits while striking out 11.
He was backed up by a solid team effort offensively, as every member of the starting lineup recorded at least one hit, with the exception of DH Anthony Bennett, who walked twice and hit a sacrifice fly.
Thomas Landis, Tobias Siegrist and Geovanni Ureña all doubled, and Thomas Blank had a team-high 2 RBI's.
Game notes
Harry Bregy singled in the fourth inning for his 150th NLA-hit.
Update 11.07.2006:
The Challengers won't protest the decision due to the fact that the Zurich Barracudas' NLB-team has also lost two games by forfeit because two of their players - both active for more than a decade - didn't present correct pictures to the federation.
