Just as in the two games on Saturday, the Challengers wasted no time to go ahead in the first two innings. They scored all of their nine runs in the first two frames with two outs.
Flyers starter Chris Klee (0-1) lasted just 1 2-3 innings, giving up seven earned runs on ten hits and two walks.
Landis and Roger Brunner hit two-run homers in the second inning and Landis added one more in the sixth, a solo shot off Richi Kurz, his fifth of the season.
Alain Kurz of the Flyers, who went 0-for-7 on Saturday, hit a solo homer in the sixth and a two-run double in the seventh to give him a game-high three RBI's.
Challengers catcher Bryan Shemley, batting .200 before Saturday, went 2-for-4 with three RBI's and two runs scored to raise his batting average to .290. He went 2-for-4 in Game 1 and 1-for-3 in Game 2 on Saturday.
Saentis Zeller, who reached in all of his 10 plate appearances on Saturday, singled in his first appearance on Sunday to extend that streak to 11. He grounded out in the second inning to end the streak and finished going 2-for-6 with two RBI's.
Landis' strikeout of Durand to end the fourth inning was his 497th NLA strikeout.
The third win marked the first time that the Challengers managed to win three times against the Flyers in a single season.
