The Challengers just had one more scoring inning as they scored twice in the fourth inning two extend their lead to 7-2. The Frogs scored slowly and were kept in check by Räber (1-1) and Landis. The final score was fixed by the end of the fifth inning. After that, no team was able to score any more runs.
This time, the Frogs helped out the Challengers in the sixth inning. All three batters were hit by pitches but all three of them got caught stealing home. With the bases loaded, Stefan Wick tried to steal home but was caught by Landis and Armin Blickenstorfer">Armin Blickenstorfer. At the same time, Heim stole third and Blickenstorfer tried to throw him out at third after tagging Wick for the first out. The throw sailed past third base and Heim tried to advance home. But third baseman Patrick Bosshard managed to pick up the ball and throw him out at home. While all this happened, Steve Klee moved to third base. Before the next pitch, Landis and Blickenstorfer went over their strategy when Steve Klee tried to take advantage of their incaution. But Landis was quick to get rid of the ball and throw out Klee at home for the third out.
The Challenger defense made no errors for the first time in a long time and was awarded with the win in a hectic and turbulent game.
