Nancy Plamondon received the MVP award at the Challengers’ General Assembly on December 5 after playing her first season for the Challengers. Plamondon collected 20 hits and 11 RBI’s with a .333 batting average and a .468 on-base percentage and scored 27 runs with a team-high 22 stolen bases.
Leandra Simitovic earned her fourth Best Pitcher award, as she went 11-3 with a 7.00 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 71 innings pitched.
Simone Zurschmitten walked away with the Best Batter award after setting team highs with 6 doubles, 33 runs scored, a .381 batting average, a .565 on-base percentage and 28 walks and finishing second with 24 hits.
Ziegylou Wehrli was credited with the Most Improved Player award, while Celine Welti was named Best Fielder.
